Residential Manager [Scotland]

Salary Scale £37,150 - £40,000 per annum
Spark of Genius operates small therapeutic residential homes throughout Scotland for young people who need a variety of supports. We also educate young people who cannot sustain a mainstream educational placement. In this we employ a 24 hour approach to the curriculum, providing continual support and guidance for our young people.
We are currently looking to appoint a Residential Manager to assume overall responsibility for all aspects of the house supported by the Assistant Manager and Senior Residential Child Care Workers. As the Registered Manager, you will ensure the effective and efficient running of the service, including ensuring staff engagement, development and performance in their contribution to delivery of the service. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will ensure a high standard of practice in line with internal and external expectations, standards and legislation, of which you should have a sound knowledge.
The post holder will have managerial experience, supporting young people and staff in a residential environment. Ideally you should possess or be working towards a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent professional care qualification, SVQ Level 4 in Social Care plus any management qualification at SCQF level 8 or above. The post holder will be required to register and maintain an appropriate registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.
